Each year, our team travels to Antwerp, Belgium alongside a distinguished group of fellow RJO jewelers to do what most jewelry stores simply never do: select diamonds by hand, at the source, before they ever reach a showcase. Antwerp is not just a city. It is the global center of the diamond trade, home to more than 1,500 diamond firms and responsible for processing the majority of the world's rough and polished diamonds. Being here, in person, changes everything about how we select stones for you.
This is not a catalog purchase or an online order. It is a hands-on, expert-level evaluation of thousands of diamonds carried out by jewelers who know exactly what they are looking for. The result is a collection of stones that meet a standard most retailers never reach.
The Process
We Grade Every Diamond Ourselves
During our time in Antwerp, we work alongside our RJO partners to evaluate diamonds using the same rigorous standards applied by gemological laboratories. Each stone is assessed for cut, color, clarity, and carat with trained eyes and professional-grade tools. We examine how a stone performs in light, how its proportions affect brilliance, and whether its qualities on paper translate to genuine beauty in person.
Only the diamonds that meet our standards make it back to Cape Girardeau. That means every stone in our showcase has been held, evaluated, and personally approved before it ever reaches you. No surprises. No compromises.
